Just spent a delightful weekend at this old mansion turned hotel. The spacious rooms were spotless and the breakfast in the sunny garden was a treat. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The place has a charming old English cottage feel with beautiful furniture, a cozy fireplace, and a heater to keep warm on chilly nights. The location is perfect, within walking distance to town and the golf course. a wonderful experience!
Would recommend this hotel.

Located in a prestigious and central area, the hotel offers a historic and beautifully restored cottage bungalow. The garden is a peaceful oasis, perfect for relaxation. The staff, including the warm Manager, are highly professional, attentive, and super helpful. They were always ready to assist with arranging tours or anything else needed during the stay. The rooms are lovely and the ambiance is enhanced by the welcoming gesture of a pot of tea with ginger as an arrival drink.
The electric heater provided in the room was not sufficient to heat the large space adequately during colder weather. the breakfast menu, although good, was more Westernized than expected, with a limited selection of Sri Lankan dishes.

I absolutely loved the charming and cosy decoration of Hill Cottage. The vintage furniture and delightful floral curtains gave it a warm and home-like feel. The comfortable seating areas in the general areas were perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea. As a senior woman, I greatly appreciated the convenience of the cottage's location. It was easily accessible, making it effortless for me to explore the surrounding areas.
If I had to ask for one improvement, it would be the addition of a mosquito net to the beds. As a senior, a good night's sleep is essential, and the presence of mosquitoes can be quite bothersome.

The breakfast was delicious, and the hotel also offered in-house tours and arranged transportation. we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this hotel.

I absolutely adored the charming British design and ambiance of this lovely cottage. The decoration was exquisite and created such a cozy and homely atmosphere. The general areas were well-maintained and accessible for senior people like myself. It was a joy to relax in the beautiful gardens and terrace, taking in the impeccable views. The staff, especially the manager, Frank, were incredibly caring and attentive, making me feel truly welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay.
It would have been even better if there were more activities or amenities specifically catered towards senior people. Perhaps some gentle exercise classes or organized outings.

Had a wonderful Xmas at this charming cottage in the hills. the rooms were beautifully maintained and the staff was friendly. the location was perfect, with the stunning Grand Hotel next door, offering great amenities and restaurants. the highlight was the well-maintained garden, where we spent afternoons enjoying tea and a good book.
We did experience a couple of minor inconveniences. the wall socket next to the bed didn't work, and the sink drain in our bathroom was leaking.
